Kids: Annoying Attitude

February 26th, 2010 No comments

If there is one thing I find the most annoying attitude that my kids use to do during our shopping for grocery is playing with the wall mount barcode scanner. Both son ‘A’ and girl ‘B’ loves playing with it. They will find their usual items, which are the toys not one but two or three on their hand. Sometimes I give up of asking them not play with it as they will repeat it again after being told. So what I do is asking the security to tell them not to play. It works better sometimes. Do you have similar experience?

Little C : 13 Months Old

February 8th, 2010 No comments

He is 13 months old today. He has his first swim last Saturday. Here are pictures to share. I’m working on another sewing project for my girl. So far, I have made a skirt, 2 dresses for my girl, a collar shirt and pants for my little C. My time has been so occupied with all the sewing and I’m hooked to it.

No More Bottle

January 14th, 2010 1 comment

“No more bottle mummy”. That is what my girl been telling me since 2 days ago, and yesterday she asks me to throw her bottle milk. Yes! Today onwards she is no more drinking milk from the bottle and will be using glass instead. She said that she is a big girl already. So just to test her, I tried convincing her again that drinking milk from the bottle is nice, and she firmly says “I told you already, I want to use glass”. Hehehe… I may be considering buying her skechers shape ups shoes, since she loves running.

His 1st Birthday

January 9th, 2010 2 comments

He turned 1 year yesterday 8 January. The first year of his life has passed now welcoming the toddler years. He has been walking by himself, since he is 9.5 months old, and now he is running. Happy 1st birthday little C. I wish we could celebrate your first birthday at myrtle beach sc..

I’ve a wonderful Boy, and I say to him, “Son,
Be fair and be square in the race you must run.
Be brave if you lose and be meek if you win.
Be better and nobler than I’ve ever been.
Be honest and noble in all that you do,
And honor the name I have given to you.

I have a boy and I want him to know
We reap in life just about as we sow,
And we get what we earn, be it little or great,
Regardless of luck and regardless of fate.
I will teach him and show him the best that I can,
That it pays to be honest and upright, a man.

School Starts Tomorrow

January 3rd, 2010 No comments

So school starts tomorrow and here we go again, waking up early, sending and fetching kids to school, helping with school homework, revision and other stuff. It’s fun sometimes but also tiring. Well, at least my morning is not that busy, and I can do my sewing project. Yes…I just bought a Singer sewing machine. I don’t really know how to sew, but I guess it can be learned as long as the interest is there. I have been watching and reading sewing tutorial online. Other than that the notebook need upgrading. Currently, we are having HP compact notebook. We are eyeing for Sony VAIO brand. Hubby says it is one of the most reliable in terms of entertainment and multimedia features. It has a High Definition and digital surround playability and compatible with the most other high end audiovisual products.

Tuxedos

I love to see man wearing tuxedo, especially if he is tall and handsome like my hubby (ahem…). My dear hubby if you are reading this, yes! You are tall and handsome in my sight (wink). Tuxedos come with accessories’ items like cuff links, vests, shirts, studs and bow ties. Now I’m imagining my soon 11 month’s baby with tuxedo on. That is not a real tuxedo; I use Photoshop to put it on him…hehe… and he looks so cute and mature.

Now that he is 7 years old he is asking for one gadget. He says “Mummy, I think it’s time for me to have a cell phone, because I reach 7 already”. Yes… That is what he wants for Christmas and it’s time for me and hubby to upgrades our cell phones too (if budget permitted). Once we bought a new one, he can have my old phone. Thinking twice I don’t think he is ready to own one we might just keep it until a certain time.

6 Reason He Don’t Like School

November 23rd, 2009 No comments

school_boy

School holiday has officially started and I am looking forward to the days ahead. No more wake up early at least for a month. So what should I do to keep him busy during the holiday? No special arrangement most of the time he will be at home. Well… At least he can join my girl and baby C do the morning dance and games conduct by mummy at home from Monday to Friday.

When I look back at the beginning of this year, trying to imagine the hectic days we had, not to mention the concern and worry towards him to be in standard 1, with lots of children and the super fierce teacher. He could mix well with the children and settle down quickly, and he was looking forward to go to school everyday. That was the beginning of this year. When the fifth months approach, he begins to feel bored and tired. There was time that we purposely don’t send him to school for a few days just to let him stay at home and let him relax.

After almost a year in standard one, I ask him a question yesterday of how he felt about going to school. He smiled and gives me 6 reasons what makes him don’t like to go to school.

1. I don’t like homework

He never likes to do homework, just too many of them and worst of all, he is only standard one. This is one of the things that we expect from a Chinese school, but it was too many and a little heavier not only for me but for a standard one student. However, as months passed by I get used to it.

2. Very noisy

He is the nosiest not only at home but outside specially in the shopping mall. Somehow he does not like the noises in the school. He said “I want to pengsan (faint) everyday”.

3. Don’t like the teacher always angry

He always complained about his class teacher of being angry all the times. He said one time the teacher almost lost her voice because she shouts too much. Well, guess the teacher means well and wanted to have a discipline in the class.

4. Like to stay at home

He prefers to stay at home because he has all his toys and loves playing computer.

5. Don’t like reading book

He gladly exclaims “I’m not a reading kid mummy, I’m a toy kid”. We send him to school when he is only 2 years old, and he shows a good interest in books at that very young age even the principal commented that he is a fast learner. Come to think about it, we have invested not only our time of reading to him but the choices of school we choose during his early years.

6. Don’t like to wake up early

The whole family is having a difficulty getting up early. We must change! It must change! I look forward for an improvement next year not only for us but his perception of school.
