Dieter’s Prayer

July 30th, 2010 2 comments

I found this on the net, and if you looking for the best weight loss pills, this is for you.

Lord, my soul is ripped with riot
incited by my wicked diet.
“We are what we eat,” said a wise old man!
And, Lord, if that’s true, I’m a garbage can !

I want to rise on Judgment Day, that’s plain,
But, at my present weight, I’ll need a crane.
So grant me strength, that I may not fall
Into the clutches of cholesterol !

At margarine I’ll never mutter
For the road to hell is paved with butter.
And cream is cursed, and cake is awful,
And Satan lurks in every waffle !

Give me this day my daily slice,
But cut it thin and toast it twice.
I beg upon my dimpled knees,
Deliver me from jujubes please !

And when my days of dieting are done,
And my war with Snickers bars is won,
Let me stand with the heavenly throng,
In a shining robe…size seven, long !

I can do it, Lord, if You’ll show to me,
The virtues of lettuce and celery.
Teach me the evil of mayonnaise…
Of pasta a la Milanaise, potatoes a la Lyonnaise…
And crisp-fried chicken from the south …
Lord, if you love me… shut my mouth !

Be free

July 30th, 2010 No comments

If you are quick to take offense, then you’ll be under  the control of those who you find offensive.
If you are easily angered, then your actions will be dictated by those who anger you.
If you are obsessed by what other people think, then you will be imprisoned by their  thoughts.
If you yearn for easy answers and quick solutions, you’ll fall prey to people who offer you nothing but promises.
If you find the truth too difficult to bear, you’ll be enslaved to those who tell you what you want to hear.
When you have the courage to think for yourself,  the strength to accept what is, the commitment and discipline to make a difference, then you are free.
You are truly free to live with purpose, joy and fulfillment.
Let your life be defined, not by reactions to what others do, say, or think but rather your own unique vision.
Raise your eyes above the pettiness and follow the path of the greatness that is within you. - author unknown

I love this poem. This can be an encouragement as I start a new week, and I can forget about that acne treatment for my face.

You have a great body

July 21st, 2010 No comments

You have a great body! It is a miraculous machine. It runs on peanuts and even regenerates itself. With a good diet, plenty of exercise and enough sleep, it will usually perform wondrously. But, it will occasionally get sick or run down. Especially if you neglect it. So it pays to take care of this marvelous machine. Repairs are expensive and used parts are hard to come by. Today…. what you do for your body? Will you pick up that exercise regime you may have put off? Will you choose sensible foods? Will you treat your body as the friend it really is? Do it today for your great body!
Author – Steve Goodier

hmmm… that reminds me of an article I read recently on colon cleansing. I have heard a lot of comments on this, and there are many products in the market that claim to be able to do the job.

Does age really matter?

July 21st, 2010 No comments

You are only as old as you think you are.
If you embrace new opportunities, seek new learning
and stay motivated and lively at heart, you can still do anything.
In fact, given the wisdom and experience you’ve amassed over the years
you can probably do more today than you’ve ever been able to do before!

Keep your body lively through healhty diet and excercise.
Nurture and excercise your mind with new friends, interests and challenges.
Stay in touch with the world and no matter what your age,
the world will stay in touch with you
– Jane power

So now you know what to do forget the age spots and enjoy His creations.

A tough job

June 11th, 2010 1 comment

A funny Father’s day poem I found on the net. Make me smile when I read it. Happy Father’s day to all the daddy and don’t forget to fix the outdoor furniture if you have one.

Pull up your pants.
Comb your hair.
Brush your teeth.
Don’t you stare..

Mind your manners.
Do your homework.
Don’t stay up too long.
Take out the trash.

Rake the leaves.
Cut the grass.
Don’t play too rough.
Being a dad sure is tough,
You have to remember to constantly say,
All this stuff.

Fathers are wonderful people

June 9th, 2010 1 comment

Fathers are wonderful people
too little understood,
And we do not sing their praises
as often as we should…

And Father struggles daily
to live up to “his image”
As protector and provider
and “hero of the scrimmage”…

And perhaps that is the reason
we sometimes get the notion
That Fathers are not subject
to the thing we call emotion,

But if you look inside Dad’s heart,
where no one else can see,
You’ll find he’s sentimental
and as “soft” as he can be…

And like Our Heavenly Father,
he’s a guardian and a guide,
Someone that we can count on
to be always on our side.
- Helen Steiner Rice

For all the fathers out there this poem is for you. I never had a chance to play with my father as he passed away when I was little. I remember my mother told us about him and how he looks great during their wedding day with his tuxedo vest on. Well…. not really a tuxedo but similar pattern.

Poem – Mothers

May 6th, 2010 No comments

Mothers are special people
God knew that from the start
That’s why he created them in His own image
and to them gave the biggest heart.
She’s able to heal our hurts with only a kiss and hug
She’s able to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is never slow as a slug.

Mothers are special people
God knew they’d always be
He created them to do so much that involves you and me.
She has to be a teacher to teach us what we need to know
She has to be a taxi driver to get us where we need to go
By Lachelle B. Ransom

Remember to send greetings, cards, flower and gift to your mother on Mother’s day. I’m having a date with hubby and the kids on mother’s day. Now I need to find a cream for my acnes, which appeared a few days ago blame it to the hot weather outside. I read good review on acnepril product.

Losing weight poem (Spiritual diet)

April 24th, 2010 1 comment

I saw this poem while browsing the net today. Good one! and is better than any herbal diet supplements. Meditate and chew on it.

This year I’m going on a diet!
In prayer and humility.
I’m going to reject those enticing
spoonfuls of impatience,indifference,
intolerance, criticism;
Refuse to take part in bouts of
depression,ingratitude,selfishness.

Instead
my diet includes unlimited amounts of
quiet patience,true compassion,
bubbling joy,deep understanding,
unending forgiveness,unconditional love.
These can be taken at any time of the day
in quantities that are as large as possible!

I’m going to exercise, too –
my God-given authority –
to see, feel, and act rightly.
not just a ten-minute exercise,
but continuously, hourly, every minute –
a moment-by-moment mental s t r e t c h i n g –
each day more than I did the day before.

In this way
the true outline, the embodiment
of elegant balance, perfect proportion,
the Soul-filled harmony of God’s being
will be seen as me.

Broken Dreams

October 19th, 2009 1 comment

As children bring their broken toys
With tears for us to mend,
I brought my broken dreams to God
Beause he was my friend.

But instead of leaving Him
In peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help
With ways that were my own.

At last I snatched them back and cried,
“How can you be so slow?”
“My child,” He said, “what could I do?
You never did let go.”

The Difference…. I got up early morning

June 22nd, 2009 No comments

I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day I had so much to accomplish that I didn’t have time to pray.Problems just tumbled about me, and heavier came each task, “why doesn’t God help me?” I wondered. He answered, “You didn’t ask.”

I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on gray and bleak; I wondered why God didn’t show me. He said, “But you didn’t seek.”

I tried to come into God’s presence; I used all my keys at the lock, God gently and lovingly chided,” My child, you didn’t knock,”

I woke up early this morning and paused before entering the day; I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray

Happy Beautiful Monday! Another Monday to start a fresh week.
